Joanne, I was also concern about the screen time, in how affects children.. knowing that at home they are exposed to it and the idea of also using in the classroom was frightening. i still think children should be playing while learning- I agree with you we can empower our students to be a better in the future world.. love your powerpoint.
Joanne, I also agree with the concern screen time has on children and want to keep these articles in my growth chart that is expanding with sources. I still feel it is important for young children to play. I wish I had put the technology integration slide in my presentation that was talked about in class. You did a great job on your presentation during the last class. Your power point is a great visual of what we learned in class and how you apply it to your classroom.
Joanna, great presentation! I also had the same worry as you, too much screen time. But I agree that after this class we have become comfortable with using technology, allowing us to be better teachers. The shortcuts are so helpful! How did we get by without knowing these before?
Joanne, I love how you included the screen time recommendations for early childhood. I also am so happy to have learned some new tips and tricks for my own personal use as well as for our students.
Joanne, I agree with your concerns about screen time and feel as if many teachers are concerned about this aspect of using technology. I do agree, like you said this class has provided us with the opportunity to change our thinking in regard to technology use in the classroom and help us prepare students to use it with a greater purpose.
I'm glad you included information about how too much screen time effects children - it is a good reminder as both a teacher and a parent that we need to be cautious about this. I also feel a little more efficient and productive after taking this class and after incorporating helpful apps into my life. I am much more confident in laying the foundation for my students to succeed in a digital world. I'm going to add Todoist to my list of apps to check out. Great presentation.
